How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 13 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 6 times.

Outlet vs. players
Each dot is a game both this outlet and players scored. The dashed line is perfect agreement: dots above it mean the outlet was more generous than players, below it more harsh.

- 85STAR WARS Zero Company™Aug 28, 2026 · César Salcedo
“Star Wars Zero Company successfully brings turn-based combat to the Star Wars universe, and this time it shines thanks to the depth of squad management, the variety of combat abilities, and the integration of exploration moments. These are enriched by the development of relationships between crew members, and the demanding nature of its combat systems provides an entertaining and challenging experience; something fundamental in a game of this genre.”

“Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters is a clear evolution of what we saw in RoNC. The game's pace, the replacement of the rock-paper-scissors system with reaction-time-based gameplay, the inclusion of mechanics like the Chain System, and the ability to directly control goalkeepers in shooting duels address many of the previous installment's shortcomings. Similarly, the faithful adaptation of the World Youth arc and the quality and direction of its cinematic cutscenes brilliantly capture the essence of Yōichi Takahashi's work. However, despite all its strengths, the game still suffers from some of the same flaws as the previous title. In terms of gameplay, the imbalance of certain defensive slides is frustrating, and we were unable to test the online multiplayer mode. Despite this, Tamsoft has solidified its position as the developer that has best adapted Captain Tsubasa to a video game in over 20 years.”

“I really enjoyed my time with Future Knight and I'm already playing it again to try and unlock the harder achievements simply because it's so much fun. The old LCD console aesthetic is wonderful, as is the gameplay, and the vintage anime style combined with the absurd plot was incredibly entertaining. I highly recommend it to nostalgic gamers, fans of 2D action-platformers, and anyone who wants to experience the charm of retro gaming.”

“Even ignoring the Metroidvania elements that don't work in a linear action title like this, Akatori isn't a good game. While visually appealing thanks to its beautiful pixel art and some interesting 3D backgrounds, the gameplay leaves much to be desired. It has absurd, non-functional mechanics, repetitive enemies, inconsistent level design, and dialogue so clunky it's painful to read. There are elements with real potential, and you can find some fun in its six-hour runtime, but there are many better games in the genre.”

“Beast of Reincarnation isn't a bad game. In fact, thanks to its combat system and some aesthetic elements, I'd say it's good. But it's not a great game. Its best ideas are wasted, its world is very derivative, its narrative has terrible pacing, and it can eventually become repetitive. I'm sure many players will love Emma's relationship with Kuu and will get a lot of enjoyment out of their encounters with golems and creatures, but we've seen all of this before, and better.”

“The concept of running people over to turn them into enemies of an isekai heroine is as absurd as it is fitting for an adventure as funny and over-the-top as Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World. This indie game is short and doesn't boast impressive technical aspects, but it offers tons of fun and very likeable characters that serve as a perfect parody of the 'isekai' genre that currently saturates the world of manga and anime.”

“The Mermaid Mask is an excellent detective adventure with a well-crafted narrative full of mysteries, memorable characters, fun puzzles, and plenty of personality. Some pacing issues in the first half and a spanish translation that omits a few details detract from the experience, but it's well worth immersing yourself in the mysteries of the submarine Mortuga alongside Grimoire and Sally.”

“Denshattack! is undoubtedly one of the best games of 2026. This colorful and intense train adventure had me smiling the entire time as I overcame impossible obstacles, faced giant robots, and turned my rivals into allies like something out of a shonen anime. It's a wonderful experience filled with great music and spectacular moments that you simply can't miss.”

“While it's debatable whether a remake of a good game that's still readily available was truly necessary, there's no doubt that Assassin's Creed Black Flag benefits greatly from the improvements in this 'Resynced' version. It looks and plays better than ever, but the game's main strengths remain those inherited from the original: an excellent story that skillfully handles its philosophical themes and a superb setting that begs to be explored. It also inherits the original's flaws, such as poor enemy AI and mechanics that can become repetitive, but that doesn't detract from it being a wonderful experience.”

“The Drifter is a graphic adventure like no other. The combination of its intriguing story, excellent voice acting, and control system makes it a must-play for fans of the genre, and it might even win over those who have never played one of these games before. Some puzzles are a bit obtuse, and others too simple, but it maintains a good balance that makes this game a great experience.”

“It falls short of excellence due to inconsistencies in its mechanics and the lack of an antagonist worthy of Bond. We hope Patrick Gibson's Bond gets another chance so he can officially debut his "00" title.”

“Many will surely compare this title to classic Zelda games or FromSoftware titles like Dark Souls or Bloodborne, but Mina the Hollower is much more than that. This fantastic game has its own unique personality and a playable charm that goes beyond its open world and difficulty. Furthermore, it understands, like few others, the satisfaction of discovering a well-hidden secret.”

“Describing a game as "a love letter" to something is a cliché, but the truth is, there's no better way to describe this work than as "a love letter to Batman's history." Fans of the character will enjoy a fun journey through the cinematic history of the Dark Knight, filled with entertaining puzzles and plenty of objects to find. However, those who haven't seen the movies and won't understand the references and might not forgive the numerous technical issues, the repetitive combat system, or the many minor flaws it has.”

“Forza Horizon 6 is the quintessential arcade racing game. This is thanks to its accessibility, extensive customization options, and above all, its sheer fun. The recreation of Japan stands out for its visual fidelity in some of the environments and the variety of surfaces it offers for different driving disciplines. The inclusion of community creation tools and the integration of online modes—in addition to all the single-player content—extend the game's lifespan, not to mention all the time that can be spent creating tracks and customizing cars.”

“Replaced stands out for its immersive pixel art visuals and a story with profound social commentary on capitalism and technological ethics. While Sad Cat Studios' debut game offers fluid combat and a memorable cinematic atmosphere that emotionally connects with the player, the experience is marred by imprecise platforming controls, balance issues in encounters, and an uneven distribution of checkpoints. Nevertheless, its solid artistic and sound design compensates for these minor mechanical flaws, delivering an artistic and thematic proposition that distinguishes itself within the 2.5D action genre.”
